Jobber alternatives for trade businesses with their own way of working.
Jobber covers the daily routine of a home service business: quotes, scheduling, invoices and online payments. Once you run several crews, jobs that last for weeks or your own pricing rules, the extra work tends to land in spreadsheets and group chats. Here are three routes for teams from around 10 people.
Thanks for watching.
When Jobber still fits
- Most of your work is short service visits: quote, visit, invoice, paid.
- Automated client reminders, QuickBooks Online sync and job costing cover what the office does every day.
- You use add-ons such as the AI Receptionist or the Marketing Suite, and they replace tools you’d otherwise pay for.
Where the extra work shows up
| Workflow | Often today | With a custom system |
|---|---|---|
| Jobs over several weeks | Phases, materials and subcontractors tracked in a spreadsheet next to the job | One job with phases, crew visits and a running cost total |
| Estimates | Built from your own price lists and site measurements, then typed in | Measurements from site go straight into the estimate, which the office checks and sends |
| Crew planning | Whiteboard or group chat, then copied into the schedule | Crews, vans and skills planned in one place, with each crew’s list on their phones |
| Reports | Exported to CSV and rebuilt for the bank or the accountant | Reports in exactly the format you hand over |
Three routes compared
Our part is the custom job system: software your crews can open on day one like any app, made for your business and costing roughly what a standard plan would.
| Keep Jobber and extend it | Another field service tool | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Fits when | Jobber runs well, but one process lives outside it | you want a different feature set, such as Housecall Pro | your jobs, crews or pricing don’t fit any standard tool |
| Running costs | Jobber plan stays, plus the connection | a new monthly plan | no per-user plan; hosting and support as agreed |
| Data and export | stays in Jobber, reachable through its GraphQL API | moves to the new provider | on your own servers or in the EU, fully yours |
| Effort to switch | low | medium, plus retraining the crews | medium, with a parallel run |

Moving off Jobber
Export Week 1
An admin exports clients as CSV, which Jobber emails in batches of up to 1,500 rows. Jobs and invoices come out through Jobber’s reports, also as CSV.
Clients, jobs and invoices on file
Setup Weeks 2–4
We set up your job types, price lists and crews. The office tests the system with real jobs from last month.
A test system with your own jobs
Parallel run Weeks 5–6
New jobs start in the new system while open ones finish in Jobber. Crews switch once their phones are set up.
No job falls through the cracks
Plan these before you switch
- Online payments are built into Jobber. Decide which payment provider takes card payments after a switch.
- Check whether your crews need the app on sites without mobile signal.
- List what Jobber feeds today, such as QuickBooks Online or a marketing tool, so nothing goes quiet after the move.

Frequently asked questions
Will we get a full Jobber clone?+
No. We build the parts your office and crews use every week. Booking pages, review requests or marketing tools only come along if you actually use them.
Can you connect Jobber instead of replacing it?+
Yes. Jobber offers a GraphQL API with webhooks, so we can link it to your price lists, accounting or project tracking.
Do our crews have to learn a new app?+
Yes, but a smaller one. It only shows the steps your crews really do, and we train them before the switch.
You’re based in Vienna. Does that work for a US business?+
Yes. The work runs by video, and in the intro call we agree on meeting times that suit both time zones.
